Raybold Manufacturing Recycles Surplus of Vinyl into Sellable, Green Products
Background
A national recycling company had a need to convert a large volume of old vinyl records into a new usable and desirable product. They wanted to convert the records into clocks, coasters, and picture frames.
Problem:
They needed a fabricator who could convert the records into a professional looking product that could be sold in major retail stores. Since the records were made by different manufacturers, they varied in thickness and material composition. They had to be handled without scratching or marring the delicate surface of the records. The finished product had to be of the highest quality. The lead time was critical to get the finished product on the shelf to meet the holiday shopping season.
Solution:
The recycler contacted Raybold manufacturing. Raybold leaped into action to setup a production line to meet the customer requirements and fullfill their needs. The records were fabricated in multiples utilizing Raybold’s cnc routing equipment. Clear plastic windows were diecut to assemble into the picture frames. Their large building space was able to handle the many skids of records and their extensive material knowledge and ability to handle critical cosmetic requirements made the program a success for both the recycler and Raybold. When you have a high volume, demanding lead time and cosmetic quality part to fabricate, give Raybold a call.
